The PSM Engineer role has emphasis on creating a high level of value by ensuring that the roll-out of Engineering-related projects will follow the PSM standards and CP Kelco guidelines. This position, a mixture of Project Management and Functional Management, gives you the opportunity to apply your deep technical knowledge and a broad range of skills/competencies to succeed.
The role will be based in our Grossenbrode, Germany site, a modern plant with highly competent teams onsite.
 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

•    Implement / manage current PSM standards in consideration of the CP Kelco guidelines as well as the CP Kelco Risk-Based Management philosophy across PSM and engineering on plant site.
•    Collaborate with employees / managers to ensure process safety of capital projects and processes.
•    Implement currently applicable process safety management standards (identification, risk assessment) in all PSM relevant aspects and activities.
•    Consultant in selection of e. g. safety critical parts / equipment.
•    Lead and participate process hazard analysis (PHAs).
•    Create and track corrective action plans to reduce or eliminate identified risks to an acceptable level.
•    Lead and/or participate on process safety event incident investigations.
•    Develop and implement of process safety training programs.
•    Coordination and instruction of external contractors within the implementation of tasks on plant site.
•    Create operating and work instructions as well as other documentation for PSM-related processes. 
 

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications

•    BSc. or MSc. within Chemistry or Process
•    Several years of relevant experience 
•    Excellent computer skills (PHA-Pro, SAP, MS Office, Analysis Tools) with experience with presentations 
•    Professional with highly skilled expertise, broad knowledge in the areas of systematic risk assessments, assessment of chemical reactions in consideration of appropriate protection systems as well as the preparation of safety reports and incident analyses (e.g. What-If, HAZOP, LOPA, BOSS).
•    Interest in further education
•    Fluent in German and English (speaking and writing). Notions in Danish would be a plus (collaboration with our plant in Denmark)
