Position Summary

 

Our Enterprise Applications team plays a central role in advancing digital capabilities across business units—leveraging AI, Microsoft Copilot, and modern analytics to drive real business outcomes.

 

We are seeking a Business Analyst Intern/Co-op – AI Use Case Enablement to partner with business owners, process experts, and IT teams to identify, develop, and help implement AI use cases across the organization. This role blends business analysis, AI solution exploration, and practical execution—helping move ideas from concept to adoption. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and excited about applying AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to real-world business challenges. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Use Case Discovery & Analysis 

  • Collaborate with business owners to understand workflows, inefficiencies, and opportunities for AI enhancement. 
  • Document current-state processes and identify potential areas where AI or Copilot could create measurable value. 
  • Evaluate feasibility, dependencies, and risks of proposed AI use cases. 

 

Development & Prototyping 

  • Use Microsoft 365 Copilot tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Business Chat) to create prototypes, sample outputs, and concept demonstrations. 
  • Translate business needs into structured prompts, templates, and workflows that illustrate how AI can support decision-making and productivity. 
  • Build lightweight models to estimate value (e.g., time savings, cost avoidance, improved quality). 

 

Enablement & Implementation Support 

  • Assist teams in piloting AI use cases by helping them adopt tools, refine workflows, and understand best practices. 
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define requirements for scaling successful use cases. 
  • Help build documentation, training materials, and communication assets to support adoption. 

 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Present findings, prototypes, and recommendations to business leaders. 
  • Gather user feedback and convert it into improvements for both the use case and the supporting workflow. 
  • Support change-readiness activities that promote responsible, effective use of AI. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to define clear business value and ROI metrics for AI investments. 

Education, Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

Area(s) of study/educational experience:  

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, MIS, Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or an interdisciplinary program such as AI for Business or Human-Centered AI. 

 

Required skills/competencies:  

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical concepts. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power BI, and basic data analysis (Excel, SQL, or Python). 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. 
  • Interest in digital transformation, responsible AI practices, and process improvement. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Zoom. 
  • Ability to work in detail-oriented, dynamic and changing environment.
