Position Summary
The Applications Research & Deployment Technician supports the team by conducting routine experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the efficient execution of ingredient application projects. This role provides foundational support to scientists and supervisors, contributing to the successful delivery of high quality solutions.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and testing of ingredient formulations under the guidance of senior team members.
- Accurately document research activities, including data collection and sample handling, in line with company standards.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure consistency and reliability in experiments.
- Maintain a clean and organised lab environment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards at all times.
- Manage inventory of lab supplies, coordinating with Procurement teams as needed to ensure availability of necessary materials.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- No formal training or experience required; may be working towards a professional qualification.
- Working knowledge of common technical processes and procedures within the Applications Research & Deployment team.
- Basic understanding / awareness of related activities and operations of the Applications Research & Deployment team.
- Communication used to exchange technical or factual information with colleagues.
- Performs straightforward mechanical / technical tasks that are highly routine and manual in nature.
- Work is generally performed under supervision.

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.
