Position Summary

The Commercial Director – HAS North America is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving profitable growth across the USA and Canada for Huber Agro Solutions. This role leads the North American commercial organization, defines and executes go‑to‑market and sales strategies, and builds strong strategic relationships with key distributors and customers. As a core member of the HAS Americas leadership team, the Commercial Director plays a critical role in shaping regional strategy, accelerating innovation adoption, and delivering sustained revenue and margin growth above industry benchmarks.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the North America commercial organization, including regional sales managers and a key accounts team.
  • Define and execute 1–3 year sales strategies and annual operating plans aligned with HAS global and Americas strategies.
  • Drive profitable growth across the full HAS portfolio, including adjuvants, biostimulants, crop production aids, crop protection products, and macro- and micronutrients.
  • Establish and execute effective go‑to‑market strategies, pricing approaches, and business models to maximize growth and margin.
  • Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with key and strategic customers and distributor partners.
  • Identify and pursue new growth platforms, strategic partnerships, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Ensure effective collaboration with Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Regulatory functions to deliver product availability, registrations, and market success.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activity to inform strategy and innovation priorities.
  • Establish KPIs, reporting, and performance management processes to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Actively contribute to talent development, succession planning, and a high‑performance commercial culture aligned with Huber Principles.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Plant Science, or related technical field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive sales and commercial leadership experience within specialty agricultural inputs or related industries.
  • Proven success leading regional commercial teams and delivering sustained top‑line and margin growth.
  • Strong business acumen with deep understanding of pricing, market segmentation, and financial drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into executable plans and measurable results.
  • Exceptional leadership, influencing, and communication skills with the ability to operate at grower, distributor, and executive levels.
  • Strong CRM and analytics capability (Salesforce preferred); proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across North America.

[$144,200.00 - $187,200.00]

 

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
