Position Summary
The Director of Supply Chain Planning is the overall process owner and thought leader for supply chain planning and execution processes for Huber Engineered Materials (HEM). This role will drive continuous improvements in supply chain processes, ensuring alignment with HEM’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework while optimizing assets and enhancing the customer experience. Additionally, the role includes ownership of Master Data Management (MDM) for Items and Operations, as well as leadership of the Supply Chain Analytics team, which delivers key business insights and performance metrics to the broader Supply Chain organization.
Scope of Job:
- All HEM SBU’s, sites and third-party locations
- Direct Reports: Process Owners
- Supply Chain processes and tools (demand forecasting, S&OP, IBP, master scheduling, plant scheduling, inventory accuracy, master data accuracy, raw material management, order promising, customer segmentation, etc.)
- Implementation and adoption of HEM standard tools (Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud)
- Develop skills and knowledge of supply chain planning across the organization
- Focus on the customer experience. Ensure customers are treated the way our businesses expect
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives and a culture of data-driven decision making
- Communicate successes, learnings, and metrics to provide more visibility into supply chain processes
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning
- Drive the development and maturation of HEM’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring successful adoption across all businesses
- Enhance and expand the standard planning and execution process across HEM and ensure consistent adherence
- Provide guidance and support to sites and businesses to improve Supply Chain Planning and execution capabilities
- Develop and implement education programs to elevate organizational competencies
- Lead initiatives to deliver new capabilities and tools to improve planning
- Establish and monitor metrics to assess the effectiveness of supply chain processes, adoption rates, and plan health and set targets for continuous improvement and monitor progress
- May assist in executing due diligence and / or integration activities for strategic acquisitions
- Ensure job descriptions and goals for key stakeholders are aligned with the Supply Chain Planning strategy
Master Data Management
- Manage a team responsible for Master Data Management of the item and operations sets of data
- Enforce MDM policies, procedures, and governance standards, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Leverage automation and advanced tools to streamline MDM processes and improve data quality
- Support acquisitions and Oracle implementation projects
Supply Chain Analytics
- Lead the Supply Chain Analytics team to deliver actional business insights, visualizations, and KPIs to the broader Supply Chain function
- Drive a culture of data-driven decision making through the adoption of advanced analytical functionality, such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Oracle’s Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI).
- May have other accountabilities.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent education.
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning or Materials Management roles
- Superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all organizational levels
- Strong leadership and change management skills
- Must possess high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must possess abilities as a change agent, business savvy, and organization skills
- ASCM/APICS – CPIM certification preferred
- Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred
- Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud, Oracle ERP, Oracle Fusion ERP, and Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence Cloud preferred
- Ability to organize and plan initiatives across multiple departments, ensuring resources and timelines are managed effectively
- Strong ability to organize and prioritize multiple and concurrent tasks
