Position Summary
The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Analyst Co-op will support the Global Product Regulatory Compliance team by analyzing packaging related data required for state level EPR reporting across the United States. In this role, the co-op will evaluate shipment data, validate packaging material information, and work cross functionally with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Master Data teams to improve the accuracy, structure, and traceability of packaging data within Oracle. This co-opship offers hands on experience at the intersection of regulatory compliance, sustainability, and supply chain operations, enabling the co-op to contribute directly to the company’s EPR reporting readiness and data management processes.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
EPR Shipment and Packaging Analysis
- Analyze shipments to states with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations to identify packaging materials by type, composition, and quantity.
- Compile and validate packaging material data required for state-specific compliance reporting.
- Assist in developing standardized methods for capturing packaging information across business units within Huber Engineered Materials in collaboration with Huber Engineered Woods.
Procurement Collaboration
- Partner with Procurement to verify primary and secondary packaging specifications.
- Collect supplier documentation related to packaging material composition and structure.
- Support updates to packaging BOMs and material specifications, as needed.
Manufacturing Site Collaboration
- Work with plant teams to estimate the mass and quantity of tertiary packaging (e.g., pallets, stretch wrap, corner boards, overwrap).
- Consolidate site-reported data into centralized tracking tools for aggregation and reporting.
- Identify inconsistencies or data gaps and assist in process improvements.
Master Data Collaboration and Support
- Collaborate with Master Data teams to define relevant Oracle fields needed to capture packaging attributes.
- Assist in mapping packaging material data to Oracle master data structures.
- Contribute to the development of reporting configurations that enable quick extraction of packaging information for EPR submissions.
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Prepare summaries, spreadsheets, and analyses to support EPR reporting and co-opal compliance initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to streamline processes and improve packaging data accuracy.
- Support documentation of new workflows and standard operating procedures.
