Position Summary

Core Role Title :Global Platform Marketing Manager, Hydrocolloids 
Location: Hybrid and close to an office in  North America or Europe Hybrid, preferably close to an office  in Hoffman Estates or Atlanta- USA, Paris – France, London – UK, Skensved – Denmark.

The Platform Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and implementing marketing plan and campaigns that support the Hydrocolloids Platform strategy, fostering growth in the regions.

As part of a global team and reporting to the Platform Marketing Director, you will have a unique opportunity to reinforce our current market position, support the positioning of our new ingredients and solutions, expand our business through effective marketing campaigns and shape our future by uncovering new growth opportunities in the Food and Beverage sector and beyond  to include, consumer care and industrial.

The role involves creating and leading campaigns to enhance and accelerate the Hydrocolloids Platform growth agenda and marketing strategy. This role is also responsible for conducting product, category and consumer analysis to generate insights that fuel platform growth. Collaborating with the other Platforms, you will work closely with Corporate Communication, regional commercial and marketing teams across the entire matrix to identify synergies and deploy campaigns and initiatives to drive demand generation in the region.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive initiatives and marketing campaigns to grow our brand equity as leader in nature based hydrocolloids solutions
  • Work with cross-functional teams on strategies to grow our brand equity globally, in the Food & Beverage and Consumer Care industries.
  • Work on strategy development and execute campaigns through digital channels including PR, LinkedIn, Website,, coordinate and monitor results.
  • In Food and Beverage, collaborate with the Starch and Protein Platform to establish Tate and Lyle as the preferred partner in Mouthfeel and work with solution team to develop Global chassis and embed Hydrocolloids into Mouthfeel narrative and assets
  • Work with the regions to identify synergies and growth opportunities, collaborate on building and executing joint marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • In Consumer Care, collaborate with the Global Consumer care team and execute marketing strategy and plan to position Tate and Lyle in the space

Own New Product Development marketing strategy and execution

  • Support development of compelling and differentiated value propositions for new products and promote them through product content and marketing collaterals
  • Develop campaigns to launch, build awareness and generate leads for our newly launched ingredients (NPD). Work on strategy development, coordinate content creation, partner with agencies when relevant, execute and monitor results.
  • Support marketing activities related to the NPD process, acting as the Voice of the Market, Customer, Consumer from idea to value proposal hypothesis, developing content and communication assets. 

Drive sustainable growth of current portfolio

  • Work with Insights team to monitor market, customer, and consumer insights to identify future potential white spaces and growth opportunities, making recommendations to the Platform leadership
  • Support the assessment of new business opportunities for the Platform by collecting and analyzing market data and insights
  • Support (IRM) Ingredient Reputation Management by monitoring ingredient reputation and consumer perception and creating communication tools to commercial teams in regions

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • 5-7+ Years of experience in an ingredient marketing role or related field Food & Beverage, Consumer Care industry, ideally in a global setting
  • Proven track record in Content Marketing strategy and execution - developing, leading and implementing successful and commercially focused content creation, marketing campaigns, new product launches and solution selling content
  • Experience with Digital Marketing; strategizing campaigns, managing agencies, monitoring and evaluating results.
    Ideally experience in both B2B and B2C environments
  • Must have shown creativity, delivery focus, ability to collaborate, and leadership
  • Knowledge of nutrition and food and beverage or consumer care industry is extremely beneficial
  • Experience with science-related marketing is valuable
  • Ability to mine data for insights, leading to NPD and use of VOC to validate ideas
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills ncluding presentation
  • Results oriented, value driven, and problem solving mindset
