Position Summary

The main purpose of this role is to provide professional and quality functional consultancy for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 focusing on the Accounting to Reporting (A2R) process area globally. The role is to lead demand and prioritization meeting with both end users and IT. This individual will partner with business and technical team to improve current processes and implement new capabilities to ensure technology is leveraged to the fullest. In addition to also provide day to day support (until AMS team is fully capable) and escalation point, on the job training and knowledge sharing to the existing team members and end users.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Business Consultancy & Demand Management 
    • Act as Oracle subject matter expert to assist business users and other IT team in Oracle E-Business Suite. 
    • Understand business problems, processes and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. 
    • Primary focus on Accounting to Reporting areas such as Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payables & Payments, General Ledger, Cash Management, eBTax, Consolidation, Budgeting & Forecasting, FSG, Financial Reporting, EPM. 
    • Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and perform functional testing working with end users and Development team. 
    • Interact effortlessly with business user community to determine and document new functional or technical requirements, to work with other IT professionals to implement solutions. 
    • implementation service to Oracle applications along with its satellite applications ensuring project, enhancement and change are design and perform in the most optimum way resulting in a smooth post implementation. 
    • Implement new functionality, enhance system capabilities, and improve existing solutions. 
  • Operation Support 
    • Provide day to day applications support which includes troubleshooting, resolving issues, training, documentation and tracking of tickets within the support ticketing queue to ensure bug fixes are completed in the most optimum and timely manner resulting in a smooth operation (until AMS team is fully capable) 
    • Transition into level 3+ operations support upon the introduction of Application Managed Services 
    • Ensure various integrations are supported and maintained. 
    • Review and maintain existing configurations/setups and make corrections and changes as needed with adequate documentation 
  • Independently manage projects, influencing all execution aspects.
  • Collaborate with Finance to prioritize process improvements and system opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, providing recommendations.
  • Research emerging technologies for Accounting to Reporting value.
  • Define, develop, and document high-level solutions for business projects.
  • Analyze technical risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Lead design, build, and implementation of Oracle A2R solutions.
  • Oversee the A2R Application Managed Services team.
  • Support period close activities and assist in reconciliation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with IT Auditors for successful yearly audits.
  • Ensure support and maintenance of various integrations.
  • Drive process and system improvements for growing business needs.
  • Provide training and assistance to new and existing users.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Applications as a functional consultant focus on the A2R process stream and modules of the Oracle E-Business Suites R12.2.10 
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud experience highly desirable. 
  • Strong leadership & consultative skills with 5+ years’ experience of system implementation 
  • In-depth understanding of business flows and system capabilities and modules within A2R process stream  
  • Strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS modules (General Ledger, Cash management, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, eBTax, EPM). 
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting flows in Oracle eBS, sub-ledger accounting, revenue recognition and tax requirements. 
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, financial and statutory reporting. 
  • Experience in month-end processes, ledger reconciliation and financial consolidation. 
  • Experience in business process analysis, gap identification and system configuration to meet business needs. 
  • Experience in Costing is desired, but not mandatory. 
  • Experience in preparing functional requirements, test case documents and planning and execution of project milestone sessions (CRP, SIT, UAT). 
  • Experience in full ERP implementation lifecycle.  
  • Must possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues at various level. 
  • Work collaboratively in a geographically dispersed team environment. 
  • Proficient to Agile or Scrum methodology 
  • Ability to multi-task and efficiently prioritize tasks assigned. 
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated and a forward thinker. 
  • Fluent English language skills. 
    • ITIL certification desired, along with experience working within ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow 
  • Ability to travel (up to 25%)
