Position Summary

The R&D intern will be assigned to support multiple areas as needed at the Huber AgroSolutions Innovation Center. Some of these assignments are with the formulation and analytical lab and the greenhouse. The intern will be engaged in multiple STEM areas supporting various innovative activities at the center. The position will take lead from the senior researchers in the respective areas. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Assists in conducting experiments under controlled environments (growth chamber and greenhouse) with supervision.
  2. Assists with various research tasks including sample collection, data entry, and sample preparation (grinding, extraction, digestion). 
  3. Assists in performing chemical analysis and maintaining equipment.
  4. Engages in documenting results while learning about various aspects of agricultural research methodologies and protocols.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

Required Qualifications: 

This internship posting is looking for a college student currently in their sophomore or junior year, studying chemistry or agriculture like agronomy, soil science, horticulture, agricultural business, and other related fields,  who has a valid driver's license, a good driving record, shows interest in research, and maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Excellent communication, writing, and critical thinking skills. 

Manage time and effectively prioritize and implement projects and general work tasks per instruction from senior researchers.

Ability to adhere to strict safety standards as required in each research area.
