Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will support the SBU’s FP&A, Operational finance, Commercial and Product Management teams in various financial planning & analysis, reporting and operational activities tasks, including cost management, variance reporting, and KPI tracking.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, annual budgets and long-term strategic plan.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support various strategic initiatives.
Month-end Closing Cycle:
- Assist in the month-end closing process by reporting on actual financial performance of the business unit.
- Prepare and communicate various monthly management reports.
Variance Analysis:
- Perform detailed variance analysis of key metrics, pricing, revenue, cost drivers and other business KPIs.
- Identify actionable steps in response to variances to support decision-making.
Reporting and Automation:
- Develop and maintain relevant recurring reporting to support management accountability.
- Identify, drive and implement process improvements in the SBUs financial reporting requirements including automation opportunities.
- Partnering with IT and FP&A to adopt new capabilities and streamline reporting processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Accounting, Central FP&A, Plant Operations, Commercial and Product Management teams with ad-hoc analysis, as required.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment with comprehensive accounting knowledge.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization applications such as Power BI and Oracle analytics is a plus.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Capable of managing large sets of data, multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with limited supervision.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically as required.
