Sr. Communications Specialist

Position Summary

As a member of J.M. Huber Corporation’s Corporate Communications team, the HEM Sr. Communications Specialist draws on various communications skills augmenting a foundation of strong writing to tell stories and provide clear and accurate information to employees and other stakeholders within the Huber Engineered Materials business. Executive and senior leadership support, strong project management, the ability to build networks, and a keen attention to details will be important for supporting Huber’s strategies, initiatives and businesses with multi-modal content across various platforms. The individual will be part of Huber’s Corporate Communications team, reporting into the Sr. Communications Specialist at HEM with a dotted line to the Director of Human Resources within the Huber Advanced Materials business.

This role will be onsite 2-3 days a week at our Smyrna office.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Research and write internal news items, including but not limited to employee recognition stories, updates on strategic activities and projects, financial updates, personnel announcements, and infographics
• Review and edit materials created by others
• Write and maintain external website and intranet content
• Support communications for executives and senior leaders, including but not limited to: written, video and Town Hall communications and financial and operational updates
• Provide content on corporate social media channels
• Ability to manage numerous projects on tight deadlines.
• Support development of internal presentations for executives
• Prepare quarterly analytics reports for HEM internal communications (open rates, intranet page traffic, etc.). Use analytics to determine changes / improvements to content
• May perform other duties as needed

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

•    4+ years of corporate writing or content production experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience considered. 
•    Basic graphic design, videography, photography and social media experience a plus. 
•    Excellent knowledge of Office 365 full suite of tools (OneDrive, OneNote, SharePoint Online, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) 
•    Basic knowledge of InDesign, Adobe mark-up and project management tools  
•    Experience building surveys in SurveyMonkey or similar tools and ability to analyze results  
•    Experience managing WordPress based websites
