Position Summary

J.M. Huber is committed to employee learning and development, and the Senior IT Auditor position reflects that promise.  This role is intended to provide the incumbent with widespread exposure to an extensive array of people, processes, systems and practices throughout all business units and geographical regions of J.M. Huber Corporation.

The position will help protect and enhance shareholder value by conducting audit projects that:

  • Evaluate and strengthen the effectiveness of mature controls that maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of financial and operational systems and data (core assurance protection projects).
  • Safeguard information and enterprise data at rest and in transit.
  • Collaborate with management to identify, understand, and control new emerging business risks.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct audit and advisory projects by:

  • Thinking analytically - using logic, systemic approach to identify problem root causes and improve processes.
  • Utilizing technical expertise - monitoring technology advances and best practice trends and interpret their effects.
  • Using the workplace to get work done - knowing where to go and who to resources when help is needed.
  • Building a cultural expectation of results, in a customer-orientated manner - gain customer trust with new insights, and produce results that make a difference.
  • Taking initiative - identify what needs to be done and responding before required.
  • Communicate with and advise others by:
    • Influencing and negotiating effectively - base guidance on facts, analysis, logic and data.
    • Present thoughts concisely; and work through influence rather than intimidation and find common ground to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Building collaborative relationships - acknowlede and address others concerns and perspectives; show respect to all colleagues and people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Communicating effectively - organize and express ideas clearly; create written audit reports that are concise, easy to understand and supported by facts and data.

Education/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Professional certification such as CISSP, CISA CISM, CCNA.
  • 4 years diverse project level work experience, with minimum 2 years in audit.
  • Seeking a future transition into an IT, cybersecurity, or other suitable business position in one of the Huber business units when the opportunity to do so arises.
  • International and manufacturing experience.
  • Consulting, technology implementation, penetration testing, IT security experience.
  • Data analytics experience, particularly with Power BI.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed (typically around 25% but unforeseen circumstances could necessitate more).
  • Ability to work independently and convert a generally defined audit objective into an actionable audit project plan and deliver results through execution of the project plan.
