Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Global Cybersecurity & Network Architecture, the Senior Manager of Network Services will provide direction, guidance and deliver services to the business, enabling secure and best in class “Security First” network and operational technology (IT/OT) solutions that meet Huber’s business needs. The position will ensure network availability, scalability to individual requirements, define Huber`s network strategy and consult with IT teams as well as business partners on all network related initiatives and projects. This position is extremely dynamic and will require a consummate professional who can grasp the complexities and embrace challenges associated with working in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal direction. A key component to this role includes leading and interfacing with teams outside of the IT Infrastructure group to gather requirements, collaborating on developing alternatives and effectively leading and promoting (directly or indirectly) initiatives throughout multiple levels within the organization and Service Providers.
Flexible Work Arrangement: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with some days working from the Atlanta, GA office and some days working from home each week.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify demand, define, and promote worthy projects and value to the IT leaders and community, gaining alignment between business needs and technical capabilities
- Work with IT Infrastructure Operation teams and leaders to help their business units define new capabilities
- Manage and develop a team of internal technical staff, providing 24x7x365 mission critical network support and lifecycle services in conjunction with third party providers
- Lead the development of effective relationships with Business owners as well as service delivery teams and be responsible to lead the development, documentation of, and implementation of standard operating procedures, and customer service guidelines
- Track ROI for projects and initiatives including cost, benefits, and risk
- Define and communicate shared services to support business needs
- Participate in development of business strategic planning and IT strategic planning
- Define, measure, and deliver services using service level metrics to track value delivery and report metrics regularly
- Provide visibility and continuous improvement on cost, value, and opportunity to optimize IT spend (initiatives and support services)
- Gather high-level business requirements and define scope during initial discovery by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with partners
- Lead and perform research and development into emerging technologies and use cases. Present findings in a professional manner.
- Establish and manage vendor relationships, and maintain a strategic forward-looking view of vendor direction
- Lead the analysis, recommendation and execution for the evolution and enhancement of a security first enterprise network infrastructure and architecture
- Partner with Business clients and technical peers to lead design and delivery of new IT capabilities
- Lead the development of partnerships with IT peers such as Applications owners, Systems administrators, etc. on new initiatives and projects
- Lead the monitoring, evaluation, responding, and reporting on security threats and lead the annual testing of contingency/disaster recovery plans
Education, Specialized Knowledge & Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field of study required
- 12-15 years of experience including 5+ years of prior management or leadership experience
- CISSP or CCNP preferred
- Vendor management experience preferred
- Experience in evaluating and deploying SDWAN/SASE as well as Global Internet aggregation solution projects in Global environments preferred
- Certifications from ISC2, ISACA, CompTIA and GIAC preferred
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to understand high-level network design and the impact across the infrastructure relating to underlying hardware and software; able to lead others to resolution
- Knowledge of network security best practices with experience related to NextGen Firewalls, IDS/IPS, TACACS, and ACLs (example: Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and Fortinet), Proxy, Web filter, Anti Malware
- Knowledge involved to install, administer, implement, and maintain LAN and WLAN hardware and software infrastructure in a business and manufacturing environments
- Ability to define & implement monitoring solutions providing metrics related to utilization of bandwidth, latency, and other critical metrics – Layer 7 preferred
- Working knowledge on the evaluation and use of discovery tools to help manage the overall Infrastructure lifecycle
- Knowledge of IP routing protocols, including OSPF, EIGRP, RIPv2, and BGP
- Understand, drive, and improve uptime for mission critical sites.
- Experience working in corporate network environments with WAN technologies such as Firewalls, Switches, Proxy, VPN SSL, VLAN, SD- WAN and MPLS Networks
- Ability to travel domestic and international 10-25%
