Position Summary

As a Consolidation Accountant you will support the general accounting function for the activities of CP Kelco US Inc.  The general accounting group covers accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, various tax accounting and filing, banking, payroll, purchasing and consolidation and financial reporting, internal and external audit support, and certain cost functions.  This role at the business headquarters and the group also covers general GAAP accounting guidance, financial reporting coverage, consolidation, foreign currency translation, financial policy compliance and other central finance roles. This position will support a selection of those activities with the initial responsibilities listed below in the Principal Duties and Responsibilities section.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Sales and Use/Property Taxes

  • Oversee all sales and use tax filing for the US legal entity to ensure filings are completed on a timely basis.
  • Oversee all property tax filings for the US legal entity to ensure filings are completed on a timely basis.

Quarterly Tax Reporting (Tax Provision)

  • Prepare quarterly tax reporting package.
  • Work with the Corporate Tax Department to ensure all filings are completed in a timely manner.


  • Consolidate financial results on a global basis, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of information to CP Kelco and Corporate Management. 
  • Ensure financial data submitted by legal entities not on SAP are balanced and complete prior to final loading into CP Kelco’s consolidation system. 
  • Use SAP, BPC, and One Stream to assist in verifying both intercompany and intersector transactions reconcile properly. 
  • Ensure the consolidation tools (BPC and OneStream) are available for use by the other members of the Finance Department as required to confirm the accuracy and reliability of the reported actual, forecast and budget information contained therein.
  • Load FX rates provided by Treasury into SAP, BPC, and Lease Query.
  • Reconcile Currency Translation Adjustment (CTA), reconcile SAP to BPC, and reconcile BPC to One Stream on a monthly basis.

BPC Administrator

  • Serves as the BPC System Administrator for CP Kelco. 
  • set-up and maintenance of new general ledger accounts, account changes, and account mapping.



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university and 1-3 years accounting or finance experience. 
  • Solid understanding of Accounting theory.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with a global manufacturing company preferred. Must have a strong working knowledge of Excel. 
  • Strong business acumen; be very familiar with financial statements, financial reporting, and financial analysis tools and processes.
  • Experience with SAP preferred. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Good written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
