Position Summary

Under the direction of the Maintenance Specialist/Manager, the incumbent’s role is to provide electrical maintenance & instrumentation support for Huber Specialty Hydrates to achieve and sustain reliable equipment operation. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all safety requirements and modifications are communicated to all direct reports. Develop, review, and update all safety related documentation and standard operating procedures; this includes use of JSAs and procedures and rule of conduct.
  • Enforce all safety rules, policies and procedures including all MSHA requirements, electrical safety (High Voltage Supervision for Switching, Fuse Replacement, Resetting High Voltage Breakers etc.).
  • Manage the assigned Electrical Operators by setting clear safety, quality, and productivity expectations. Provide guidance, counseling, and necessary discipline to ensure that those expectations are met. Manage the hourly workforce within the constraints of the contract agreement and answer first step grievances.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

An associate degree or higher in the electrical Engineering field is preferred, and a high school diploma/GED is required.

10 years experience in instrument and electrical maintenance, preferably in a chemical manufacturing plant.
