Huber Corporation and belongs to the Division of HUBER ENGINEERED MATERIALS, produces at Bergheim site more than 100 chemical specialty products on the basis of aluminum hydroxide, alumina, and UF resins for numerous industrial applications. Position Summary

 

As IT Site Manager of Martinswerk, you act as the subject matter expert and single point of contact to the plant business leadership team regarding any topic as it pertains to information technology. You understand business requirements and priorities of assigned site(s), and translate such into IT requirements.

 

In this role you work closely with functional support teams within the infrastructure, application, and operational technology groups. You hold the responsibility for successful IT Project implementation and Service delivery.

 

The on-time and on-budget execution of the overall infrastructure lifecycle at the site rounds up this role, providing state-of-the-art technologies and outstanding user-experience.

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain close relationship with internal partners to understand, prioritize and provide solutions to the business, and to provide services around networks, hosting, process control, monitoring and IT security.
  • Responsible for managing the local 24x7 escalation process of problems to appropriate support personnel.
  • Acts as a liaison between sites and the network as well as hosting and end-user experience team to assist in issue resolution and request completion.
  • Ensure best in class IT Service delivery according to established SLAs and KPIs.
  • Manage local budgets and provide input to the regional and global budgeting process.
  • Manage 3rd party service providers to meet and exceed SLA commitments. Leverage external partners and vendors to enhance effectiveness as needed.
  • Ensure Site-IT Infrastructure lifecycle management and align to capacity growth proactively with accurate forecasts.
  • Deliver local and regional IT infrastructure projects to drive operational service and capability improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement Management - Recommend and implement systems and processes to improve performance, security, and availability of IT Services.

Requirements & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Several years of IT experience
  • Familiarity with 24x7 manufacturing environments, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrated project expertise with infrastructure related projects, familiarity with Project Management Framework preferred
  • Experience working with insourced and outsourced IT operations
  • Experience with Server room configurations, maintenance, and monitoring, furthermore with network communications and wireless technologies preferred
  • Experience with VoIP unified communications services is of advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Occasional travel to our European production sites
