Position Summary

JM Huber is seeking a Maintenance II at Active Minerals International, a Attapulgite Clay facility in Climax GA.

 

Maintenance II:  This position will successfully perform all tasks of the Maintenance II position as defined by the Job Tasks Analysis (JTA) and support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to accomplish goals; performs all tasks as defined by the JTA. 
  • Organizes all company-provided tools and return to proper work space. 
  • Performs emergency/unscheduled and basic preventative maintenance repairs of production equipment as qualified.  
  • Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments as defined by JTA. 
  • Obtains appropriate certifications/licenses required to operate variety of equipment in performing duties.  
  • Detects faulty operations and defective equipment; reports those and any unusual situations to management. 
  • Maintains clean and orderly work areas. 
  • Records all spare parts used on the work order to ensure proper re-order. 
  • Trains/coaches employees in the Maintenance 1 classification. 
  • Follows and adheres to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position and department, and as required by ISO. 
  • Complies with all federal or state laws and regulations and company policy and procedures. 
  • Conducts workplace exams for all daily work areas; immediately resolves and/or reports hazardous conditions; properly secures all guarding immediately following repairs. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. 

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • High school diploma/GED required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience preferred. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical devices throughout the manufacturing plant. 
  • Basic knowledge with computers and computer applications including Computerized Management Maintenance Systems (CMMS). 
  • Must wear all required PPE including electrical and respiratory equipment as required. 
  • Must be able to complete projects and assignments from inception to completion.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in a production environment.  Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis.   Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb up to 70 feet.  Able to operate hand and foot controls simultaneously.  Manual dexterity required for operation of hand controls and/or computer keyboard.   Vision and a sense of hearing are also required.

[$25.31 - $27.01]

 

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
