Utility Person

Position Summary

Assists equipment operators throughout the plant to achieve budgeted production and quality targets and performs special tasks as directed by Shift Supervisor.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

•     Relieves equipment operators as directed for breaks, absences, or vacations
•         Cleans the main process, log conditioning, and finishing building
•      Assist operators with start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
•          Maintains cleanliness of assigned work areas
•      Notifies Shift Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and maintenance department of any equipment problems
•      Performs other duties that may be assigned to operate the plant
•      Must be able to perform their job by working in high places, including stairs, platforms, scaffolding, and decks
•    . Must be able to operate equipment, including but not limited to, forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, Skid steer, and front-end loaders, on occasion

Education

High School Education or GED.
