Position Summary

Defines and executes the Process technology strategy for the north American sites of FRA. This includes the appropriate metrics, programs, procedures and management systems to drive productivity improvements.  Contributes to best practice development and roll-out of process technology and production processes. Defines and executes the programs (COTs) in accordance with Global Business and site plans. Enables excellent EHS performance and support the highest ethical standards. Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Defines and implements best practices in cooperation with the Global Engineering/Process technology Team FRA and the Site/Plant leaders
  • Identifies, develops and leads productivity improvement projects.
  • Qualification of production facilities by DoE approach
  • Identification of production parameters for FRA production
  • Development of operational standards and work instructions
  • Process optimization and organization of FME Analyses
  • Execution of PHA's and maintain the PSM systems.
  • Production support in troubleshooting (raw material issues, customer complaints, process issues) and process optimization using FMEA
  • Development of testing instructions for current production in cooperation with R&D/Quality
  • Modification of recipes and production processes based on findings of current production in cooperation with R&D/Quality
  • Evaluation of feasibility of customer requirements regarding quality, testing methods and documentation for specific cases
  • Ensures development, regular review, and effectiveness of process improvements
  • Multiple project management and coordination
  • Ensures training of production staff and employees
  • Responsible for trial production and documentation

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • B.S.  Degree in Engineering, Science or other technical discipline.  Chemical or Mechanical, Process Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Experience in process management and process optimization
  • Six Sigma and Lean experience
  • Past experience as Process or Production Engineer
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High flexibility, readiness to change
  • Goal-oriented, customer focused
  • Good communication skills, open-mindedness, team player
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Self-motivated, ability to make independent goal-oriented decisions
  • Solid knowledge of Processes and Project management experience is required
