Position Summary

The storeroom coordinator manages the site's storeroom inventory and operations within established guidelines to ensure the availability and quality of spare parts and support plant operations and maintenance efforts.

Decision Making Authority

Order maintenance, repair, and operating supplies per established pricing agreements.

Issue spare parts to authorized personnel per appropriate work orders.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Receives, stocks, and distributes parts and supplies to authorized personnel.

Manages storeroom inventory averaging $2.4 million in value per month through parts issues, receipts, and cycle counts in Oracle.

Initiates the purchase of stock parts through system generated requisitions.

Serves as back up when necessary to plant Buyer

Ensures that all incoming shipments of parts, materials, supplies and tools from vendors, freight lines and other sources are properly received.

Maintains stock levels of inventory items.

Maintain hardware systems in storeroom and request assistance needed.

Performs weekly/monthly reports as required.

Assists Buyer in maintaining Purchasing records.

Performs various shipping duties.

May perform other duties as needed.


Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

1 - 3 Years of Manufacturing and/or Storeroom experience

Efficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Oracle

Must be able to operate a forklift.

Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs frequently.

Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
