Position Summary
This role has two primary elements. One is to drive the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for the Huber AgroSolutions North American-based business. The other is to lead the Supply Chain organization at the Hanover, PA site including supply planning, production scheduling, and logistics activities for the North American region.
- Direct reports: Plant Buyer, Plant Scheduler, Logistics Supervisor
- Drive the Integrated Business Planning process and associated process steps, which are Portfolio Management, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Integrated Reconciliation, and Management Business Review, in coordination with cross-functional members
- Manage the Supply Chain team at the production site; supporting people development, career pathing, and building a strong and best-in-class team
- Leverage Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud applications (Oracle Demand Management Cloud, Oracle Supply Planning Cloud, and Oracle Sales and Operations Planning Cloud) to analyze and drive to consensus for end item demand, analyze and implement recommendations from Oracle Supply Planning Cloud, and release work order batches to Oracle EBS
- Coordinate closely with Plant Operations, Customer Care, Logistics, Warehousing, and the Commercial team to ensure alignment of expectations, execution against the plans, and gap closure tasks are being followed
- Manage all Supply Chain operations at the Hanover site (procurement, warehousing, logistics, plant scheduling, and re-supply planning)
- This position is a key driver in ensuring finished goods availability to fulfill customer demand while optimizing inventory and supply chain costs
- This role will be based at our Hanover, PA site, and is open to a hybrid 3/2 schedule
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Planner
- Enhance the quality and elevate the maturity of the HAS North American IBP process in alignment with HEM standard processes and best practice, as is defined by Oliver Wight
- Lead the Demand Planning process and utilize Oracle Demand Management Cloud to manage forecast overrides and drive consensus-building with Commercial and Finance; holding Commercial team accountable for the forecast
- Lead the Supply Planning process in coordination with Operations to project supply needs and highlight investment requirements
- Manage the monthly IBP routine, which includes responsibilities in coordinating the Portfolio Management Review, Consensus Forecast Review, Supply Review, Integrated Reconciliation Review, and Management Business Review meetings, and coordinate with functional leads to facilitate analyses, discussions, and develop plans. Ensure gaps against the plans are identified, closed, and executed against
- Successfully implement projects to improve the process, align with best practice, where most applicable, and integrate with emerging technology
Supply Planning and Production Scheduling Role
- People development and management
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date supply plan, evaluate and communicate supply risks and opportunities to the commercial and operations teams, and resolve any overloaded situations
- Facilitate Production Planning meetings with buyers, production supervisors, maintenance managers, transload and warehouse personnel, logistics partners, plant schedulers, and others as necessary
- Own the Production Schedule and material plan. Develop and adjust Production Schedule to accommodate demand, supply, and timing
- Communicate changes to Production Supervisor and Shift Leaders for expected production commitments, coordinate actions and agreements with affected functions. (Local operations, HEM Central, 3rd party vendors)
- Analyze material availability issues. Develop, communicate, and implement solutions. Raise material availability issues urgently when cannot be solved autonomously.
- Drive outbound Service Levels by improving Production Job Due Date compliance.
- Monitor Safety Stock Inventory Targets and Forecasts. Ensure Production is planned and executed to satisfy. Analyze, recommend adjustments to inventory parameters.
- Act as back-up for Plant Buyer, Plant Scheduler, and Plant Logistics and train in other functions as emergency backup as needed
- Determine and update Supply Planning Master Data in Oracle EBS, ensuring data is continuously accurate and updated
- Review and manage exception messages and Planned Work Orders daily within Oracle Supply Planning Cloud

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
Integrated Business Planning
- Knowledge of the Integrated Business Planning process as defined by Oliver Wight
- Data driven decision–making; ability to leverage KPIs to influence business decisions
- Ability to solve problems, analyze root causes, and implement solutions to complex business situations
- Knowledge of planning master data required to develop accurate Material Requirements Plans (MRP), Demand Plans, and IBP plans
Supply Planning and Production Scheduling
- Strong knowledge in the production process, bottlenecks, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), production scheduling, and methods to improve productivity through planning
- Manage inventory against targets and the build and depletion of all types of inventory, including Finished Goods, WIP, and Raw Materials
- Work effectively with multiple functions, including Customer Care, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, and the Commercial team
- Timely and accurate resolution of demand and supply imbalances
- Business knowledge of the customers, markets, business drivers, and products
- Knowledge in inventory planning processes, techniques, and methodologies
- Knowledge of portfolio of products they are planning
- Relationships across different parts of the organization related to the portfolio of products they are planning
Other
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, IBP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or materials management roles
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent education or work experience
- APICS/ASCM – CPIM certification required or willing to obtain in 12 months
- High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, and takes initiative
- Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust
- Must possess business savvy, change agent skills, and good organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functional lines without formal authority to handle multiple tasks and make consequential decisions

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
