About the position

 

For our EHS+S organization we are looking for a candidate to manage our EHS+S team consisting of 4 employees.

Your focus will be to provide leadership and oversight of EHS and Sustainability programs in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment. You will prioritize initiatives and resources to maximize effectiveness. Furthermore, reinforcing and sustaining a safety-first culture through involvement and innovation with management and operational teams.

You will drive results in closely collaboration with areas such as Operations, Engineering & Operations Support, Supply Chain, HR, Quality and Maintenance to ensure overall Occupational Safety & Environment. You will also be part of the manufacturing leadership team.

Furthermore, within this role it is expected to set realistic yearly environmental targets, action plans and ensure risks of major accidents are managed. You will develop tools for identification of risks, prioritize, assessment of consequences, improvement plans and follow up systems.

Responsibility

 

Having many interfaces in the organization you will lead health and safety effort and develop health and safety strategy. Hereby ensuring safety and health management system requirements are established, implemented, and maintained according to ISO45001 and ISO14001. You will strive to achieve a safe work environment and minimize the impact to the environment.

 

Furthermore, the key responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure risks of major accidents are managed. Develop tools for identification of risks, prioritize, assessment of consequences, improvement plans and follow up systems.
  • Develop the company’s health and safety culture  – and bridge culture with systems
  • Identify, assess, and  understand safety risks and trends, and together with functional managers ensure compliance, providing functional leadership to the team
  • Support and lead managers across the Skensved site in improving our Safety Management System (SMS), and develop and execute local health and safety training plans
  • Support the organization to continuously improve work safety and environmental and sustainability footprint
  • Investigate incidents, monitor health and safety data and produce periodic health and safety performance reports
  • Develop, revise and train colleagues on environment, health and safety programs
  • Conduct site inspections (Health and safety audits and inspections)
  • Conduct job hazard analysis to determine risks and corrective measures
  • First point of contact to authorities on environmental requirements
  • ESG/CSR reporting
  • Ensure follow-up and evaluation on improvement projects
  • Close cooperation with authorities and preparation of authority applications

About You

 

We’re looking for an environmental, safety or production engineer – preferably specialized in EHS. We expect you to have at least 5 years with practical and strategic EHS experience perhaps within an international organization. Additionally, we require you to have:

 

  • Managerial, people-influencing and facilitation skills
  • Experience in EHS governance programs
  • Professional English skills, spoken as well as written
  • Competencies within presentations, reporting, and documentation
  • Knowledge about environmental impacts
  • You are structured and prepared.
