Position Summary

As a Manufacturing IT Engineer, you will be primarily working on automation and software assignments and projects. Therefore, candidates with good process understanding and experience within process industry will be preferred.
The position belongs to the engineering department, responsible for the development and implementation of projects, including control systems for process automation, PLC/SCADA software, related IT hardware and infrastructure, electrical hardware, and instrumentation.


You will have close contact with the entire organization and external contractors, collaboration both directly in solving tasks, as well as indirectly by providing consultancy and support. 
We are looking for an energetic person, preferably with a background as an automation engineer, control engineer or similar and an interest in process automation and IT, and preferably with experience within process industry.
 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

 

Your core area will be development of software and documentation for process control. Implementation of projects related to control and instrumentation systems, covering whole project cycle – from initial idea and design to the on-site test, commissioning and finalizing.


•    Developing and optimizing automation and control systems
•    Programming of Siemens Simatic systems and ABB 800xA
•    Work on relevant technical documentation
•    Close cooperation with hardware design and installation teams
•    Test, commissioning, troubleshooting, and running in
 

Requirements

 

You have a relevant higher technical education such as automation engineer, control engineer or similar. You have a background in process automation and PLC/DCS programming. Other technical background and or practical background may also be relevant. The ideal candidate has practical knowledge of the following platforms and systems:
•    Siemens Simatic S7 and TIA portal
•    ABB 800xA
•    Databases MS SQL
•    VMWare and virtualization
•    Industrial networking and communications, OPC
•    Texas Instruments and InTouch 


Experience with manufacturing environment and interest in understanding the processes to a certain depth to develop optimal solution for automation and control. Basic understanding to electrical design and hardware, experience with test and commissioning. Knowledge to functional safety regulations and design principles for safe control systems is an advantage.
You speak fluent Danish. Good English skills are also important - both in writing & orally - as we have English as our corporate language. You are outgoing and have a structured and analytical approach to your work and you are good at creating an overview.
