Position Summary

In this position you will be a critical link to CP Kelco’s future growth and success. Your Regulatory Affairs expertise and your strategic mindset will be two of your key assets to succeed in this role. You will directly contribute to new product offerings on the market which means developing growth opportunities for CP Kelco, both in the LATAM region and on a Global level.


Ideally, this position is to be based in our Limeira plant, in the São Paulo region, with some flexibility to work remotely.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as Regulatory Affairs (RA) primary contact point for LATAM and more particularly for food additives/ingredients produced in the region
  • Ensure that regulations and standards pertaining to CP Kelco products are followed and monitored for LATAM and that potential impacts are communicated to the business and/or raised in the industry associations, if appropriate
  • In coordination with other RA Managers, strategize in CP Kelco and carry out advocacy work as necessary in connection to new/amended regulations, typically in collaboration with the industry associations in LATAM and global trade associations (International Food Additives Association, International Pectin Producers Association…)
  • Ensure that regulatory submissions and registrations on CP Kelco products are prepared in coordination with other RA Managers / external consultants and timely submitted in Brazil and other LATAM countries and ensure maintenance of these.
  • Participate in CP Kelco strategic program projects to define regulatory path and scientific work required to support regulatory approval in Brazil and LATAM region in coordination with the global regulatory leader of the projec


  • Develop Global Subject Matter Expertise for food contaminants regulations with support of other regional managers


Education and Professional background

  • Min M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Toxicology, Regulatory Affairs, Legal or another compliance related field
  • Min 7-10 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or Quality related to food, feed, industrial/consumer products, some experience with project management and process optimization tools desired;
  • Expertise in interacting with industry associations, government agencies, expertise on regulations on foods and food additives and the Brazil, MERCOSUR regulatory process;

Professional Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, used to work in global/matrix type of organizations
  • Fluent in Portuguese and in English, Spanish would be a plus

  • Good command of Microsoft Office suite.
