Position Summary

J.M. Huber, an innovative manufacturing company, seeks a personable and highly motivated Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) intern to support the Marble Falls EHS&S team with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategic initiatives. As part of the 8-week summer internship program, interns will have the opportunity to work on a significant project to help drive our ESG-goal related reporting while getting exposure to day-to-day EHS&S responsibilities. The intern will help support create the narrative and communication of one of Huber’s primary ESG initiatives. Throughout the summer, interns will be supported by assigned mentors, be provided several professional development opportunities, and network with other Huber interns and professionals through social and business networking events.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities


  • Develops projects plans, determining requirements, deliverables, timeline, and priorities
  • Assists with EHS&S data collection, reporting, and narrative creation.
  • Supports EHS and Leadership team, coordinate and lead environmental compliance activities, programs, and prevention efforts.
  • Creates briefs on key environmental issues impacting climate, water, waste, manufacturing, sustainability, and human rights.
  • Assists in various research and team projects as they arise.


Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • Currently a rising senior pursuing a Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or similar field of study.
  • Able to commit to the June 2022 - August 2022 internship period.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Zoom preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in detail-oriented, dynamic and changing environment.
  • Experience with sustainability and labor rights (regulations, developing legislation, industry trends).
  • Interested in applying an analytical education to environmental and social responsibility issues, such as waste, water resources management, climate change, labor, and human rights.


Some College in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
