Position Summary

Leads and manages mining and crushing operations to ensure timely supply of feedstock, meet customer requirements, and support Huber Engineered Materials’ business objectives. Oversees production, workforce development, safety, and compliance while driving efficiency and cost control. Based at Marble Hill, this role requires strong leadership and technical expertise in mining operations.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and assign mining activities to meet production and quality targets.
  • Supervise mine operations, equipment use, and workforce training for safety and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Plant and Packaging Managers to balance mine output with plant needs.
  • Work with Mine Engineer/Geologist on short- and long-term mining plans.
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA, ATF, and state regulations.
  • Manage capital projects, budgets, and haulage operations.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and enforce mine procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and employee engagement.

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • 10–12 years mining experience, including mine planning and processing methods.
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in mining or heavy construction.
  • Proficiency in mine design software; CAD experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of surveying, explosives, and project management.
  • Blasting license or eligibility to obtain.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in underground environments; MSHA training required.

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.

 

U.S. Market-Based Salary Range

Mine Manager

[$104,300.00 - $135,400.00]

 

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
