Purpose of Job:
The Global Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the global sourcing strategy for raw materials while overseeing key procurement categories including packaging, contract manufacturing, and selected indirect spend. This role drives cost competitiveness, supplier performance, supply continuity, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and innovation across the Huber AgroSolutions business.
Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory, Commercial, and Finance teams, the Global Procurement Manager ensures reliable access to critical materials, supports business growth, and serves as a trusted advisor to leadership on market trends, supply risks, and sourcing opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Leadership
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for raw materials while overseeing procurement activities for packaging, contract manufacturing, and selected indirect spend categories.
- Establish procurement governance, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Build and lead a Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) to strengthen capabilities, consistency, and procurement excellence.
- Support innovation and new product development through supplier partnerships and alternative material sourcing.
Supplier Management and Strategic Sourcing
- Lead supplier qualification, selection, negotiations, contracting, and strategic supplier relationship management.
- Drive supplier performance, cost competitiveness, quality, innovation, and service through effective performance management processes.
- Monitor commodity markets, regulatory developments, transportation trends, and geopolitical factors impacting supply and cost structures.
- Identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and reliable access to critical materials.
- Provide market intelligence and strategic sourcing recommendations to leadership while partnering with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational excellence.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Proven success leading global sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, market analysis, supplier relationship management, and procurement best practices.
- Experience developing and managing KPIs that drive cost efficiencies and service improvements.
- Experience in specialty chemicals, agricultural chemicals, crop protection, or specialty chemical manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with a high level of integrity and accountability.
Additional Information:
- Annual Fixed Salary: €57,000 - €72,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): Industria Chimica – Chimico Farmaceutica
