Position Summary:

 

The Technical Support Specialist will support the Export Area by providing technical expertise for field trials, developing technical reports, and delivering training on the company’s product portfolio.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, plant nutrition, and agricultural markets, combined with solid analytical and communication skills. The role requires flexibility and willingness to travel internationally across Europe, Asia, and Africa, including long-haul trips, as well as occasional travel within Italy. The position also includes back-office activities to provide remote technical support to customers and other stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide technical and promotional support to customers, distributors, and company branches.
  • Deliver technical training to customers and sales teams through webinars and in-person sessions.
  • Respond to technical inquiries via phone, email, webinars, and other appropriate channels.
  • Provide on-field technical support to key customers in line with the travel plan agreed at the beginning of the year.
  • Organize, coordinate, and manage field trials and demonstration tests.
  • Prepare and manage technical-promotional meetings, acting as a product specialist.
  • Support the preparation and management of launch and product-support campaigns for new products.
  • Participate in trade fairs and relevant industry events in the countries of responsibility.

Requirements & Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, Plant Science, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in agriculture, agronomy, plant nutrition, or a related technical role.
  • Solid knowledge of specialty agriculture production practices.
  • Fluency in Italian and very good command of English; knowledge of a third language, preferably Spanish or French, is considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, combined with a strong work ethic and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driving licence (Category B).
  • Willingness and availability to travel internationally across Europe, Asia, and Africa, including long-haul travel, as well as occasionally within Italy.

Compensation & Benefits:

 

  • Permanent Contract
  • Annual Fixed Salary: €35,000–€40,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
