Purpose of Job:
To support the sales and promotion of the Biolchim and Miller Chemical product ranges through the existing customer base and generate new sales and opportunities with existing and new customers (resellers and growers) working alongside field agronomists and salespeople.
The role requires an experienced sales leader with proven commercial skills in the biostimulant, nutritional and adjuvant sectors. The successful candidate will have passion for providing stellar customer service and a desire to assist existing and new customers in the use of Biolchim and Miller Chemical products and technologies.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Generating sales and providing technical support for the existing customer base (including grower and reseller outlets) in the state.
- Develop a new customer base (distributors /growers) in the state.
- Create product and sales demand through organizing and establishing appropriate field activities that promote products, such as commercial demonstration plots, grower field days, grower meetings, seminars and symposiums.
- Territory Planning - Proactively identify, create, and implement plans to capture opportunities to expand the business in the territory.
- Preparation and achievement of budgeted sales for the region.
- Help create a positive working team to help the Huber AgroSolutions business grow and meet sales and development objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Tertiary agricultural science qualifications and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in horticultural, nut/tree crop agronomy. Knowledge of adjuvants is considered desirable.
- Ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with agronomists and farmers alike by providing quality information and solutions, and to understand customers’ needs and buying motivation.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, both in group and individual meetings.
- Results oriented and take initiative to overcome obstacles and find creative solutions to challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to track and deliver on agreed Key Performance Indicators.
- Clean, full drivers’ license.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and with CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel (minimum 50%) to service the entire sales territory and achieve the expected product sales goals.
