Summary

 

The Regional Sales Manager will be a critical link to the company’s future growth and sustainable market position in Consumer Care segments. The individual will take the direct responsibility for a selection of Global Consumer Care Accounts in EMEA as well as be responsible for the overall Consumer Care Business Development in the region. She/he will be responsible for delivering the commercial business plan and an in-depth business understanding of the assigned strategic accounts with the ability to foster strong multi-faceted customer relationships. The ideal candidate should have a technical background relevant to the Consumer Care field and a solid commercial experience in the industry. Likewise, through core competencies such as integrity, entrepreneurship, collaboration, curiosity and analytical strength, the Regional Sales Manager will partner with the market and customers to achieve metrics designed to ensure sustainable growth and success. This will also include coordinating efforts with internal organizational teams to effectively meet demands and customer initiatives. Position offers excellent growth potential.

Responsibilities

 

•    Develop an in-depth Account Plan and a Business Development Plan for growth in the Consumer Care area in EMEA.
•    Deliver financial growth targets on revenue and profitability for relevant Global and Regional strategic accounts.
•    Develop technical understanding of hydrocolloid functionality related to Consumer Care application segments and develop the capability to convert these to define value propositions, selling opportunities and new customer/segment prospecting.
•    Use Value-based selling and Strategic Account Management (SAM) methodology to articulate the Value Proposal of our offering in the application segments.
•    Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback including defining ‘pain’ and ‘gain’ points.
•    Monitor and analyze market opportunities, competitor activity etc.
•    Provide monthly updates on current and near-term forecast using current tools in place.
•    Maintain up to date call reports, growth opportunity pipeline and projects using designated CRM database.
•    Work closely with cross functional team members including marketing, technology, customer service, technical service and other relevant functions to effectively utilize resources.
•    Ensure CP Kelco principles, values, and ethics are demonstrated in our daily engagement across various stakeholders.
•    Lead Global Strategic Account internal team consisting of key CP Kelco stakeholders and be the customer champion to ‘make things happen’ and bringing customer visibility within CP Kelco.
•    Manage and cultivate customer intimacy by building, maintaining and developing relationships with identified key influencers and decision makers within the Strategic Accounts.

Requirements

 

We look for a person with a Chemical Engineering or Industrial Science degree ideally combined with a relevant Business degree. You should have more than 5 years of experience in R&D, Technical Services/Support or Account Management functions within the Consumer & Industrials products, ideally with companies producing Functional Ingredients to this industry.

•    Willingness to be creative and ‘think outside the box’
•    Project Management skills (planning, prioritization, deadline and result oriented)
•    Exercise Customer Value Creation (CVC) and Strategic Account Management (SAM) methodology in practice
•    Business acumen and negotiation skills
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at multiple levels internally and with customers and distributors
•    Ability to work in a matrix-organization as a good team player
•    Competent with financial tools and related Business analysis
•    Excellent communication (listening & speaking) and presentation skills, fluent in English
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•    Experienced user of a CRM-related software
•    Ability to travel (in periods intensively) to fulfil the needs of the role (approximately 30-40% of work time)

 

This position can be filled in the following locations: Germany, Denmark, France, UK, Italy with the possibility to remote work.
