Role of Job
This position is a key driver in ensuring finished goods availability by assuring adequate finished goods inventory is available to fulfill customer demand while minimizing inventory and supply chain costs. This position will plan supply of finished goods and work in process (WIP) for the Marblehead facility on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The Logistics Manager will leverage Oracle Supply Planning Cloud to analyze end item demand, analyze recommendations from Oracle Supply Planning Cloud, and release work order batches to Oracle EBS. This position will own the production schedule and will coordinate closely with Plant Operations, Customer Care, Logistics, Warehousing, and the Commercial team to ensure alignment of expectations, execution against the plans, and gap closure tasks are being followed.
This position will plan, coordinate and manage warehouse management and shipping activities at the MHD location.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates and supervises the efforts and activities of the Shipping and Truck Driving Team. Facilitates work team meetings to optimize group participation and follows through on team decisions as appropriate.
- Enforces the rules in the Employee Handbook consistently and firmly within the work group, while holding fast to the Huber Principle of “Respect for People”.
- Conducts objective performance evaluations of all employees on an annual basis. Communicates with employees on all shifts effectively and routinely.
- Maintains employee records as necessary.
- Provide leadership for the Logistics/Supply Chain functions at the plant
- Develop, coach, and manage direct reports involved in packaging, shipping, logistics, and supply chain.
- Promptly address safety issues and ensure all processes/procedures are following MSHA and OSHA standards as well as company policies.
- Responsible for the management of produced good material planning, which includes the development of an inventory plan for finished good and WIP items produced at MHD based on forecasted demand, actual orders, network lead times, and available inventory to meet customer expectations and to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Responsible to define raw material demand and based on supply schedules.
- This role uses standard planning processes to develop and manage the material and capacity plans using Oracle Supply Planning Cloud.
- Works with the commercial team to prioritize and manage supply when the demand exceeds the supply plan.
- Monitor pending categories of stock in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and take appropriate action to meet quality requirements.
- Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating transportation, storage, warehousing and overall operational warehouse activities.
- Participate and actively provide leadership with Continuous Improvement initiatives and a culture of data-driven decision making
- Responsible in overseeing Hazmat training.
- Responsible for the ordering of all internal transfer orders between various Huber sites to MHD in order to meet production requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, IBP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or materials management roles
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent education or work experience
- APICS/ASCM – CPIM certification required or willing to obtain in 12 months

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
