Position Summary
JM Huber is seeking a Maintenance III Technician at Active Minerals International, an Attapulgite Clay processing facility in Quincy FL and Climax GA.
This position will provide maintenance support for both locations and requires flexibility to work at either facility based on operational needs.
Maintenance III Technician: Responsible for performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and facility systems. Apply technical knowledge, experience, and sound judgment to ensure equipment reliability, safety, quality, and operational efficiency while supporting the achievement of facility goals and objectives.

Entry Rate: $33.46 with potential increases based on demonstrations of skills
Daytime shift with rotating on-call night shift schedule: weekends as required
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility assets.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues and implement effective repairs.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Diagnose equipment failures, replace or repair components, test equipment functionality, and make operational adjustments as necessary.
- Identify and report equipment deficiencies, unsafe conditions, and unusual operating situations to management.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and document parts usage to support inventory control and replenishment activities.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage work orders and maintenance activities.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Conduct workplace inspections and promptly address or report safety hazards. Ensure machine guarding and safety devices are properly installed following maintenance activities.
- Follow all applicable Quality Management System (QMS), ISO, safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to maintenance team members as needed.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Four or more years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems and controls.
- For Maintenance 3E positions, strong knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with CMMS and standard computer applications.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to complete assignments from planning through execution with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and production environment.
- Regularly lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls up to 55 pounds.
- Frequently stands, walks, bends, stoops, kneels, and climbs.
- Requires working at heights up to 70 feet.
- Requires manual dexterity for hand tools, equipment controls, and computer operation.
- Requires visual acuity and adequate hearing to safely perform job duties.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory and electrical safety equipment when required

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
