Position Summary
JM Huber is seeking a Mill Operator at Active Minerals International, an Attapulgite Clay production facility in Quincy FL.
Mill Operator: This position keeps process equipment running and producing efficiently while at the same time creating a product to meet product specifications.

Entry Rate: $21.65
1st Shift, 5am - 5pm M-Th, weekends as required
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate all mill systems to include all associated equipment and controls.
- Identify, troubleshoot and correct problems with the mill systems.
- Collect and prepare samples for the QC lab, if needed.
- Perform QC duties and basic tests.
- Blow out equipment filters and lubricate, as needed.
- Operate Gleason shredders, conveying systems and dust collectors.
- Maintain silo levels to allow for continuous operations of all loading areas.
- Know and maintain product specifications.
- Operate forklift, as needed.
- Perform housekeeping around work area.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment at the beginning of each shift.
- Adhere to all QMS procedures and documentation as applicable to position and department, and as required by ISO.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- High School graduate or GED.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong moral and ethical standards.
- Must be able to work individually and in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to operate forklift, requires good eye-hand coordination and smooth, simultaneous hand and foot control.
- General working knowledge of MSHA Safety requirements.
