Position Summary

Supports the Quincy Nutrition site by maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the building structure, process equipment, and production areas on the assigned shift. Ensures all sanitation processes are executed in compliance with company policies, SSOPs, and local, state, and federal food safety standards. Maintains audit-ready conditions for equipment and work areas to support the next production run. Accurately completes required documentation and fosters a positive, collaborative team environment. Shift Hours: 11AM - 7PM.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Huber Sustainability Management System (HSMS), within his/her sphere of influence.  This may or may not include compliance with any air permits, wastewater permits, storm water permits, or other rules as presented to the employee as requirements.

  1. Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as assigned, ensuring audit-ready conditions daily.
  2. Coordinate sanitation activities with production startups, shutdowns, preventive maintenance, and changeovers to minimize downtime.
  3. Follow sanitation procedures for proper chemical use and concentrations to protect workers and equipment.
  4. Maintain accurate and timely sanitation records in compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies.
  5. Support implementation and sustainment of 5S systems to promote organization and cleanliness across all work areas.
  6. Respond promptly to sanitation and 5S needs during production to prevent contamination, allergen cross-contact, and foreign material risks.
  7. Perform duties designed to control pests and insects within the plant.
  8. General housekeeping in plants, warehouses, and office areas, including trash removal, floor cleaning, and spill cleanup.
  9. Ensure safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and PPE; report any injury, accident, or unsafe condition immediately.
  10. Comply with GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP policies, and all company rules, SOPs, and codes of conduct.
  11. Support product safety, quality, legality, and continuous improvement programs.
  12. Crosstrain on production roles as needed.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

 

Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Previous experience in plant production or food/beverage manufacturing preferred.
  3. Mechanical aptitude for equipment operation and basic maintenance.
  4. Ability to understand and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  5. Basic oral and written communication skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  6. Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  7. Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance as needed).
  8. Available for 12-hour shifts and flexible rotation schedules

Physical Requirements

Works inside Plant facility, Warehouses above and underground.  Exposed to noise, vibration, heat, cold and ground limestone.

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as an applicant's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.

 

U.S. Market-Based Salary Range

Plant Sanitation

[$22.52 - $24.78]

 

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
