Position Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations by operating production equipment, monitoring processes, and ensuring product quality meets established specifications. This role contributes to all areas of production including wet side, dry side, and control systems while maintaining compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements. Operators increase responsibility based on experience and have the ability to accelerate within the position to an “A” or lead Operator.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, Critical Control Points within the role to include in-process testing of chlorides, PSD, processing aid and defoamer additions.
- Operate and monitor production equipment and systems in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Perform daily production activities including wet side, dry side, and control room operations.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Monitor process controls and make routine adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Inspect products for quality and report defects or inconsistencies to supervision.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or process deviations in a timely manner.
- Maintain proper levels of raw materials and supplies required for production operations.
- Accurately document production data, operational logs, and shift reports.
- Assist with packaging, material handling, and transportation of finished product as needed.
- Support team operations by assisting coworkers and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
- Act as a lead resource to crew members when assigned.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Prior experience in production, manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred.
- Basic understanding of plant operations, equipment, and production processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Basic computer skills include data entry, email, and document management.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to walk, stand, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and reaching.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to seasonal temperature extremes.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, high places, electrical hazards, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
- Must be able to work assigned schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.

In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
